Welcome to The Eleventh!
In lieu of living in the ’90s and writing a column in a glossy magazine for multiple dollars a word, I’ve decided to become a literary cow and give my milk away for free! I’m filing my copy on the 11th because that’s my favorite number. Expect some bite-sized bits of criticism (AKA #CriticalBites), some household hints I’m hopelessly unqualified to give, and perhaps some pictures. I impulsively signed up for The Great Saunter® for the first time, and, inspired by The Saturdays, I’ve begun an International Sunday Afternoon Adventure Klub (ISAAK). Expect some updates on those fronts. I’ll also share notable publications and events— mine and others’.
“Teach us to number our days,” my prayer app said the other day, quoting a psalm. It’s the eleventh hour, our days our numbered, and here we all are, falling like stars. I’m glad I get to cross paths with you on our way across the sky.
